Automotive Warranty Administrator

Mechanicsville KIA is Hiring a Warranty Administrator to join our team! 

Warranty administrators ensures the dealership is paid for warranty work by preparing, submitting and following up on claims. As with all positions within dealerships, warranty administrators are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards. 

Job Duties - 

  • Processing all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation and verifying criteria required by factory or distributor. 
  • Keeping abreast of all factory recalls and announcements. 
  • Arranging for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor and resubmitting all rejected claims promptly. 
  • Assisting with body shop warranty claims and following up on outstanding claims. 
  • Reconciling all warranty receivables and working with the accounting department to obtain payments. 
  • Keeping track of all warranty parts by noting the repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed. 
  • Maintaining all service and customer records as required by the warrantor.

  • Warranty administrators should be familiar with domestic and imports automotive warranty systems. 
  • Warranty administrators should have experience with automotive parts (identification, inspection, classification of component groups, etc.) 
  • Overall automotive vehicle knowledge. 
  • Good computer skills

The Service Porter is responsible for moving service customer vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility and increase customer convenience and maintaining an orderly service parking area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly, upbeat professional attitude, answers their questions, and directs them to the appropriate person or location

• Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customer’s name, VIN, tag number, mileage, and existing vehicle damage (walk around)

• Controls service traffic flow, parking and assist with loaner vehicles as needed. Parks vehicles after they have been written up

• Drive safely and reports any lot damage immediately. Zero lot damage is the goal and the expectation!

• Retrieve customer vehicles at cashier for pick-up; wait at vehicle for customer, thank customers for their business

• Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats and I.D. tags in all the vehicles taken in for service

• Deliver the keys and repair order hard copies to the appropriate Service Advisor immediately after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot

• Maintains a clean and safe service drive area, free of trash, water, leaves and dirt.

• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.

• Makes key tags for vehicles

• Maintains a professional appearance

• Performs other duties as assigned

• Must follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

As our Facilities Manager, you will perform a variety of manual tasks and duties to maintain the appearance of the dealership.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include interior cleaning and some exterior cleaning including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance as needed
  • Maintain all types of flooring and stairways. This may include sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms including all fixtures and partitions.
  • Clean and maintain a variety of spaces including offices, meeting rooms and common areas. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning windows, walls, furniture, carpeting and appliances.
  • Following proper methods and safe use of materials and equipment, and all safety regulations and policies
  • Snow removal which may require the use of machines.
  • Empty wastebaskets and recycle containers.
  • Care for equipment and supplies including changing filters and belts on vacuums, cleaning equipment basins, changing filters and tubing, maintaining and communicating any issues
  • Maintain an inventory and requisition of supplies.
  • Collection of litter and debris
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Changing cleaning patterns based on cleaning needs
  • Vacuuming, touch up cleaning as needed and trash removal before and after events

General Custodial tasks:

  • General trouble shooting of dealership appliances and systems
  • Routine servicing of cleaning equipment
  • Installation of dispensers, and hardware
  • Basic repairs to furniture and property
  • Paint touch up as well as drywall repair

Necessary Education or Work Experience:
